Day two in Rome was very long, fun, and productive! We started the day with the tour which included the Vatican, Sistine chapel, St. Peter Square, Basilica, Colosseum, and the Roman forum. After the tour we continued our journey to find the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. We first visited the Spanish Steps. We stopped at a fantastic rooftop cafe overlooking the steps. After hanging out there we continued to look for the fountain. We walked through the shopping areas where we saw famous name brands like Louis Vuitton, Prada, Gucci, and many more. After walking for quite sometime we made it to the Trevi fountain! We then ended our night at a very local feeling Italian Restaurant. I'm pretty sure we were the only American's there. Mom and I thought we were eatting dinner with the mafia. The building looked like somethibg off Lady and the Tramp. Everyone knew everyone, men were dressed in suits, people were kissing each other on the cheeks, poodles were running around, and the owner was talking to the people like they were close family. It was crazy but definitely a great experience. I think everyone is feeling out of shape from the long walks and eventful day but it's time to make some more memories; so onwards we shall go! I'll try to post again later tonight! -Sarah.
